JOSH MCKIE | CINEMATOGRAPHER
Bio / Awards
Originally from Melbourne, I have been lucky enough to shoot across the globe in countries such as Hong Kong, France and Australia – before landing in Brooklyn, New York, where I currently live and work.
These career and traveling opportunities have led to a unique international sensitivity, which strongly influence my palette and work. I’ve managed to built a strong portfolio of great variety across many formats including Music Videos (Flight Facilities, Chet Faker, Vance Joy, Pigeon John), Short Films and Commercials.
I strive to always bring a passionate and artistic approach to each project with the strong belief that ‘story is king’, feeling every image of every film is slave to the master that is story.
Winning numerous awards including a Silver Award (2013) and a Gold, Silver and Bronze at the (2012) Australian Cinematographers Society awards, I feel I am an exciting and diverse Cinematographer.
